Training and Professional Development

As new counselors have been hired around the state and districts have begun to modify their counseling and guidance programs to incorporate modifications based on provisions of AB 1802, a revitalized marketplace for training and professional development opportunities has begun to emerge.

The Clearinghouse Project will provide links to what we consider to be the premier training and professional development opportunities. We will provide summaries, critical reviews, and comments from the field regarding trainings being offered in California and beyond.

According to George Montgomery, President Elect, California Association of School Counselors (CASC), AB 1802 funds may be used for training and professional development.
