Powerpoints R Us
Here, for your browsing pleasure, you will find sample PowerPoints developed in response to the landmark AB 1802 legislation. Download any or all of them at your discretion. Please feel free to send us presentations that you have created utilizing PowerPoint, including brief commentary regarding the background and any feedback you received on the presentation.
For starters, we have included four presentations. Bob Tyra's presentation highlights the importance of working in a horizontal, or non-hierarchical, manner. This may seem like heady material, but we believe his points have strong relevance for the work of counseling departments in middle and high schools. California School Counseling Accountability was presented at the AB 1802 Implementation Conference this past October. Dr. Lonnie Rowell provided an overview of accountability issues and a framework for counselors to utilize in building accountability into their AB 1802 implementation efforts. The next two PowerPoints were developed by counselors for use in classroom guidance in middle schools.
Again, we welcome submissions to PowerPoints R Us.
