National Standards and AB 1802
The provisions of AB 1802 link quite clearly with the student competencies included in the Academic Development and Career Development domains of the National Standards for School Counseling Programs. Although it is possible to link the program requirements of the counseling portion of AB 1802 with several of the competencies in the Personal/Social Development domain, this section of the Clearinghouse web site focuses primarily on student competencies for Academic Development and Career Development. We hope you find the information useful and that you will provide us with feedback regarding the content here.
The pages included here start with the actual competencies included in the Academic Development domain. As this section develops, we will add examples of how counselors have addressed these competencies through AB 1802 activities.
